Popular 1960s Singer Passed Away At Age 101

Jane Morgan, the elegant American singer known for her soft voice and the hit “Fascination,” has died at the age of 101.

Morgan died peacefully in her sleep in hospice care in Naples, Florida, her family confirmed, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She became famous in Paris nightclubs in the late ’40s, before returning to the United States, where she shone until the mid-’60s. She appeared on numerous television variety shows and even sang at the Oscars, cementing her reputation as an elegant and sophisticated performer.

Born Florence Catherine Currier on May 3, 1924, in Newton, Massachusetts, she studied music at the Juilliard School. He began his career in Paris with the Bernard Hilda orchestra, singing in English and French, and gaining great popularity.

Her hit “Fascination” (1957) catapulted her to fame in the U.S., and made her an international favorite.
